Abstract As Taiwan locates near the tropical region, typhoon is
a natural disaster that the island has to face almost each year.
The destructive force of typhoon is extremely powerful, and throughout
its entire life cycle it almost develops over the ocean where it
uses to reap its energy. Since the suspension of aircraft observations
conducted by the US air force in Guam Airbase, relevant data of
typhoon are significantly lacking. This project aims to alleviate
this problem by utilizing satellite remote sensing data to estimate
various typhoon parameters for the applications of other researches.
